In addition to risks originating from cannabis itself, modification of the plant, and uninformed/irresponsible consumption of the plant, cannabis consumption has a fourth source of risks and dangers: those that result from society's views and policies regarding the plant.
As observed by many sources over the decades, this fourth category of cannabis risks and dangers has caused more problems than all others combined. Where prohibitory laws, discriminatory practices, and taboos remain, so too do these dangers and risks.
