journaling and story-making
So too the triune of self can be seen in terms of thinking, talking, and acting, aspects of life expressing itself through mind, mouth, and motion...and then there's the big historical self that sees its own existence in the triune of past, present, and future, a truly heroic being with a life stretching through billions of years.
Along with this "lecture" portion of Doc's presentations, we may add a bit of shtick, interview a guest or two, and perhaps watch a quick clip. But beyond that, at the Manitou Movie School we are here to watch movies of all types, to learn from their images and stories, consider their meaning, and so on...
Likewise, we might borrow from the East and see the energetic self as a series of seven chakras, each one a concentrated center of the yogic self; each with its own particular character and power.  From the East as well we can add the dual self of yin and yang, of dark and light, of void and plenum, the universal feminine and masculine aspects that dwell within and give rise to All of existence and life.

Finally I would say, while such considerations and delineations of the multi-dimensional self definitely have their place and purpose, real instructional utility and practical benefit, such divisions of self (as with reality) ultimately have their limits; for, as with the whole process of science, endless reduction of the whole into parts eventually comes full circle back to the whole. Thus, sooner or later, and it might as well be sooner, it is best to simply accept that self and world can exist simultaneously as both one and many. Thus (as a human/quantum superposition) I is we, and we is I.

Thus we have Doc the 'film & philosophy' teacher, the professional aspect of myself, along with an example of what and how I teach, which typically amounts to a quick presentation as above, as well as saying a few words about the featured movie.
